Ivo Fadić was born in Zadar, where he still lives and works today. He graduated archeology and art history at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zadar, University of Split in 1976, and received his doctorate in humanities, archeology, at the same faculty on January 15, 2002.
After completing his education, he was employed for a short time in the Blagoje Bersa Music School and in the secondary tourist school (School Center for Transport and Tourism).
From 1982 to 2006 he worked as a curator at the Ancient Section of the Archaeological Museum, where he deal with epigraphics, necropolises and small archaeological material; amber and especially glass.
Since 2006 he is the director of the Museum of Ancient Glass in Zadar (archaeological specialized museum).
