Dr. sc. Romana Lekic, professor of high school in a permanent profession, is employed as the head of the tourism department at the Edward Bernays College of Communication Management in Zagreb.
For many years she worked as the head of the Department of Tourism at the Vern University of Zagreb. She earned a doctorate in cultural anthropology on “Croatian Traditional Heritage and Cultural Tourism – Possibilities of Including Intangible Heritage through Representative Samples”. She has published 4o scientific and professional papers. As a consultant and lecturer, she participates in the realization of numerous projects of the European Union related to culture and tourism. For the last few years, he has been intensively involved in projects for the development of special forms of tourism and DMK (destination management companies) as a lecturer and external associate of the Croatian National Tourist Board, the Ministry of Tourism, the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies (UHPA) and other institutions, organizations and development agencies from Croatia and abroad. She is a guest lecturer at universities in Slovenia and Montenegro where she holds lectures and workshops on the development of innovative and creative tourism products, economics of experience and storytelling, destination management, intercultural communication in tourism and motivation of the local community through family and social entrepreneurship. Professional development acquired in foreign universities in the fields of storytelling and experience management, animation and drama and dance pedagogy.
