Manuela Hrvatin is today a certified interpreter of heritage (Interpreter of Cultural and Natural Heritage – INTERPRET EUROPE) and also Country coordinator for Croatia from 2019. She leads the Practice for Interpretation of Cultural Heritage on the Culture and Tourism studies at the University of Juraj Dobrila in Pula. She teaches at the postgraduate specialist study “Adapting to the European Union: Project Management and EU Fundraising Program” at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Zagreb.
She gained experience in the Region of Istria as a coordinator of INTERREG projects of the Istrian County from 2002 to 2010, especially in INTERREG CBC (SLO – HR) program, during the first IE training programme in Croatia and by the trainer Iva Silla.
She was senior consultant for International Co-operation and EU Affairs from 2010 to 2013 and the leader and initiator of the Istra Inspirit project (cultural and experience tourism) from 2012 to 2016.
Since 2016, she has worked in the Istra Inspirit Association as a coordinator for the living history of the project KulTERRA – revitalization of the Istrian castles Morosini – Grimani and Petrapilosa. At the same time, since 2016, she has been working in the Vrsar Municipality as a consultant for EU projects and the project leader ENJOYHERITAGE (INTERREG V, slo – en) – a blend of cultural and natural heritage.
Manuela Hrvatin is from June 2019 the coordinator in the Istra Inspirit Association on the Heritage Mines (Rudnici baštine) project, which goal is to verify a new profession called Certified interpreter of the Region of Istria. The project is financed by the European Social Fund.
She completed the Master of European Studies through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia at the Institute for European Studies “ALCIDE DE GASPERI”.
