Awards

Solin Tourist Board, Hotel President Solin and the City of Solin, within the 11th International Congress of Historical Cities, that will be held from March 25th till 28th 2025., at Hotel President Solin, will award the winners with the International cultural-tourism award “Plautilla”. 

The award is given for projects in cultural tourism for quality and innovation in the management of historic cities, in the domain of interpretation and protection of cultural heritage and the promotion and distribution of cultural tourism products.

The categories in which prizes are awarded:

1) BEST CULTURAL TOURIST PRODUCT
The award relates to those tourist boards/ institutions / companies / crafts etc. for the best tourist product that is characterized by the quality and creative interpretation of the cultural and historical heritage.

2) HISTORICAL CITY / LOCALITY / INSTITUTIONS
The award relates to those cities / institutions that have significant achievements in the protection and conservation of cultural heritage.

3) BEST CULTURAL TOURIST ITINERARY
The award relates to itineraries that present the cultural and historical heritage of the city or area in a high quality and interpretative way, and can refer to one-day excursions, seven-day or city break programs.

4) BEST STUDENT PAPER OF STUDENT AND MENTOR

The award is given based on the reviewers’ grades, for the best paper in domain of protection and interpretation of cultural heritage.

The selection of candidate will be conducted based on the terms of participation, and the winners will be awarded for first place in each category. All legal entities (institutions/associations/companies/foundations/tourist boards) from Croatia and foreign countries may apply for the award. The award ceremony will take place on March 30, 2023. at 7:00 p.m. at Hotel President Solin.

PLAUTILA AWARD TERMS OF PARTICIPATION:

Terms of participation for the International cultural-tourism award “Plautilla”

1. Solin Tourist Board, Hotel President Solin and the City of Solin can not apply for the award under any category.

2. Applications must be submitted by March 11th 2023. through the award application form, project description should be no more than 800 words in length.

3. Contestants can apply for more than one category.

4. If necessary, jury members will visit certain candidates/locations in order to evaluate the project/location.

5. By submitting application form for the award, applicants agree that in case of award winning, project description and the name of the winner will be publicly announced.

6. Organizers are not obliged to return the submitted material enclosed with the application.

7. Expert jury members will make the final decision on the selection process as well as the winners of the awards.

8. The expert jury grades are final and are not subject to appeal. The expert jury’s decision on the winners in each category is final.

9. All contestants will be informed by email on the expert jury decision and aword winners for each category.
