ROMANA LEKIĆ
Ph.D. Romana Lekić is an assistant professor and professor of professional studies in a permanent position and a member of the Scientific Council for Tourism and Space at Croatian Academy of Sciences and Art. She obtained her doctorate after completing the doctoral studies “Croatian culture” at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb in the field of cultural anthropology. She received professional training at foreign faculties in the fields of storytelling and experience management, animation, and drama and dance pedagogy.
She is now external associate on the Edward Bernays University of applied sciences in Zagreb and Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija.
As a consultant and lecturer, she participates in the implementation of numerous European Union projects and strategic development projects for tourist destinations. She participates in initial accreditations and reaccreditations for tourism and culture studies. In her many years of practice, she was a mentor for over two hundred and seventy graduate theses, and as the president of the Commission for the education of tourist guides for twelve continental counties in Croatia, she taught an impressive number of seven hundred and fifty guides. She is also a licensed tourist guide in English and German language for Istria, Kvarner and Lika and Senj County.
