SANDRO DEBONO

Sandro Debono is a museum thinker and cultural strategist working at the intersection of theory and practice. 

He is a senior lecturer in museum studies at the University of Malta and a member of the scientific committee of the Anchorage Museum (Alaska). He has curated several international exhibitions in Malta, Italy and Brussels and is a regularly published author in museum studies and art history. He is currently leading the rethink of the Regional Archaeological Museum of Aosta (Italy) and a member of this year’s Best in Heritage Jury Committee. 

Sandro has been recently also recognized by the Presidency of the Italian Republic (Cavaliere dell’ordine della stella d’Italia) and by the French Ministry of Culture (Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres) for his contribution to the field of culture.
